First thing we did was lay out a slew of unreleased dOC kNOT nORML and Professor Loopin' beats in a mixtape fashion, one leading smoothly to or jumping boldly into the next. Once laid out, I foraged through stacks of papers and notebooks for words to fit the beats. One after the next, I recorded those verses and hollered at you like a tour guide with no mic. We left a beat open for my son, who hit it up with some knowledge and youthful swagger. I dropped a few delays and adlibs in for emphasis but we finished up with minimal postproduction on the vocals. We give it to you raw. This mixtape is like an audio collage of Left Out Collective's styles. IL-P's lyrics are deep, thoughtful, fun, hardcore, smooth talking and everything in between.
